What is olympic auditorium?

The Olympic Auditorium was a multi-purpose arena in Los Angeles, California, that was built in 1924. It was designed to host various events, including boxing matches, wrestling competitions, concerts, and other entertainment events. The stadium had a seating capacity of around 10,000 people and hosted numerous high-profile events during its operational lifetime.

The Olympic Auditorium was particularly famous for hosting professional wrestling events in Los Angeles during the 1940s and 1950s, which often featured famous wrestlers like Gorgeous George, Lou Thesz, and The Sheik. The stadium also hosted many famous boxing matches, including the heavyweight title fight between Muhammad Ali and Ken Norton in 1973.

Despite being a popular venue for many years, the Olympic Auditorium faced financial difficulties in the 1970s and closed its doors in 1984. The building was eventually demolished in 2005 to make way for a new facility that could better serve the modern entertainment needs of the city. Today, the site of the Olympic Auditorium is used as a parking lot.
